By Public Transport

From Buttala town, take a bus heading towards Badalkumbura. After about 6.5 km, look for the signboard indicating the turnoff to Katugahagalge Rajamaha Viharaya. Alight at this junction, turn right, and proceed 1 km to reach the temple. Alternatively, a tuk-tuk can be hired from Buttala, taking approximately 15-20 minutes.

By Personal Vehicle

From Buttala, take the Badalkumbura Road (B35) and travel approximately 6.5 km. At the notice board for Katugahagalge Rajamaha Viharaya, turn right. Continue 1 km to arrive at the temple. The Koongaha Wewa reservoir is visible just after turning right. Ample parking is available on the temple premises.
